How to use the Daily Plan
The Daily Plan simplifies your homeschool day by showing you just the assignments you need to do today.
Prefer to watch a video? Here's a quick tour of how to use the Daily Plan.
Mark Off Today's Progress
For every resource assigned to today, you'll see a checkbox to track your progress. To record work on an assignment, click the checkbox: Click once to mark it as Worked On (if the task was started but not finished). Click again to mark it as Finished when the assignment is completed.
When an assignment is marked Finished, it moves up, and the next one takes its place.
If you completed more than one chapter or lesson today, simply check off multiple assignments to reflect your progress. The CM Organizer will automatically update tomorrow's plan based on the work you record today!
Record Previously Accomplished Work
If you missed recording work for a day (or more—we know how it goes!), the Daily Plan can help you get back on track.
See resources not schedule for today
You'll find all the resources that are not scheduled for today at the bottom of the Daily Plan under Not Scheduled for Today. Show these resources to access assignments that you may have missed recording.
Backdate an assignment
Click the calendar icon on any assignment to record work done on a previous day. You'll see checkboxes for dates for the past week by default. If you need to record work further back than a week, click Add Previous Date to add any past date.
These checkboxes work just like the ones on the Daily Plan. Click once to mark the assignment Worked On; click twice to mark it Finished. Click the Done button when you have finished recording work.
More Daily Plan Features
The Daily Plan is simple but very powerful. Here are some additional ways it can help you stay on track.
Filter the Daily Plan
Use the filter checkboxes at the top of the Daily Plan to select only certain Students and/or Subjects to show on the Daily Plan. You can reset the filters by choosing All students and All subjects.
Print your assignments
You can create an offline daily checklist by clicking the Print link at the top of the Daily Plan.
Add notes
Add a note to any assignment with additional information or reminders. You can even use it to track grades or hours for high school. Simply type your note in the box next to the assignment and click Save Note.
You can also add a note for the day. Just type your note into the Daily Note box at the top of the Daily Plan and click Save Note.
Notes will show on your printed checklist for easy reference.
Omit an assignment
If you decide to skip an assignment, click Omit this Assignment to remove it from the Daily Plan without marking it as Finished.
Show upcoming assignments
Click on Show Upcoming Assignments to see a list of the next five assignments for this resource.
If you show upcoming assignments for a resource before printing the Daily Plan, these assignments will be shown on the checklist too.
Hide resources
You can collapse a resource to hide it. Click the triangle next to the resource title to close it.
Collapsed resources will not show on your Daily Plan printout.
